Casal di Serra was one of the first truly "selected" Verdicchio made in this variety’s production area. It was created in the 1980s by selecting the best grapes grown in the Montecarotto vineyard, and later enriched with grapes from another three plots situated in the most suitable areas for cultivating Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. All the values of a great indigenous variety find expression in this wine. Contact with its own natural yeasts during fermentation and in the ageing process gives Casal di Serra particular properties of richness and personality, without altering its fine balance and special elegance.
Serving glassGoblet of medium size and roughly spherical shape, to allow better appreciation of the complex aromas. A straight opening will en- hance the flavour of the wine in the mouth, by directing it first to the sides and rear of the tongue, and then to the tip, and allow its softness to be properly evaluated.
PairingsIdeal with fish dishes, oven-cooked or grilled, roast white meat and fresh cheeses.
Ideal serving temperature12-14°C
San Lorenzo takes its name from the vineyard of the same name in the municipality of Osimo from which it originates. With its outstanding impact in terms of flavour and the enfolding warmth of its rounded tannins, it is a wine which is intended to express all the potential of the combination between its terroir and the Montepulciano varietal. These characteristics are augmented by the contribution from the oak lasks which are kept in the picturesque cave at Osimo, in which San Lorenzo is aged.
Serving glassGoblet of medium size and roughly spherical shape, to allow adequate oxygenation and development of the aromas.
PairingsParticularly suitable for going with stuffed pasta, grilled dishes, spit- roasted pork, game and braised dishes, as well as a rich cheeseboard of mature and tangy cheeses.

The Conero Riserva Campo San Giorgio stands out as the most important experience of Umani Ronchi history in handling with excellence the Montepulciano grape from the Conero area. The chosen name is the name of the exact piece of land, which has track on the back label, in Osimo municipality. Land that has clearly distinguished, after some experimentation harvests, for its unique character. Finding its roots in a long family tradition the label, finds its inspiration on the design of Rosso Conero of the 70’s, representing the vines, Camerano village and the Mount Conero surrounding. The goal is to enhance a wonderful and vocated terroir and the result is a great Montepulciano able to combine strength, deepness, territoriality, elegance and high harmony.
Serving glassGlasses for serving A large glass, with a fairly broad body. This allows the correct oxygenation of red wines which have had long ageing in bottle and whose tannins have taken on a softer character, developing complex tertiary aromas which will be well-concentrated in the narrower opening of the glass.
PairingsA fine companion to elaborated and flavourful dishes based on red meats, game-birds, mature and spicy cheese.
Ideal serving temperature16-18°C
Pelago joined the list of the most sought-after Italian wines in the world in 1997, with its first year of production, when it won the Best Red Wine trophy at the International Wine Challenge in London. Pelago is the result of the insight of our technical group, who had the idea of mating Montepulciano with Cabernet Sauvignon. It is a wine which retains the style and personality of the indigenous grapes while broadening its aromatic profile and complexity by adding qualities of the Bordeaux style of wine. To maintain a high standard of quality, we chose to produce it only in those years which provided grapes suitable for a fine wine. The name Pelago, deriving from pelagos, meaning ‘sea’ in ancient Greek, suggests its marine character and the special qualities of taste and aroma which are typical of wines produced near the coast.
Serving glassA large glass, with a fairly broad body. This allows the correct oxygenation of red wines which have had long ageing in bottle and whose tannins have taken on a softer character, developing complex tertiary aromas which will be well-concentrated in the narrower opening of the glass.
PairingsA perfect match for red meat, game-birds and mature cheese.
