About this Product

This Chianti has a brilliant ruby red colour with dark fruits, leather and minty on the nose. Tannins are discreet & soft, that procures an elegant texture. The finish is very pleasant and balanced. One of our 2020 top five value for money wines.

About Italy

Italy boasts more indigenous grape varieties than any other country—between 500 and 800, depending on whom you ask—and most Italian wine production relies upon these native grapes. In some Italian wine regions, international varieties have worked their way in, but are declining in popularity, especially as younger growers take interest in reviving local varieties.

About Sangiovese

Although it is the star variety of Tuscany, cult-classic “Super-Tuscan” wines may actually contain no Sangiovese at all!
