About this Product

This is a gorgeous rose from the Paul Mas Domaines. Highly recommended for light evening drinking or sunny afternoon sipping.

Innovation and a passion for the Languedoc are what drives Jean-Claude Mas. Since taking the helm of his family’s winery in 2000, he has prioritised sourcing the highest quality grapes to craft wines of authenticity and refinement. His range of Côté Mas Crémants and Sud de France 1L blends convey the heritage, beauty, and unique terroir of this southern French region. Delicious and accessible, these magnificently charming wines embody Jean-Claude’s philosophy of le luxe rural, or rural, everyday luxury.

“Luxe Rural (Everyday Luxury) sums up our culture and philosophy. With the greatest respect for our rural roots, we aim for perfection. Our wines are the result of our mission to inspire real emotions.” – Jean-Claude Mas

About Le Domaines Paul Mas

Côté Mas is an invitation to journey into the heart of the Coteaux du Languedoc Crus and Languedoc’s main appellations. Those wines represent the diversity of terroirs within the same appellation and the essence of each traditional appellation in the Languedoc. They are a fusion between the tradition of winemaking and the new approach to wine, embodied by Jean Claude Mas and his partners-vintners. Jean Claude skillfully assembled the best grape varieties from Languedoc, to highlight the diversity and expression of the fruits of this Mediterranean region.

About France

French wine is nearly synonymous with fine wine and all things epicurean, France has a culture of wine production and consumption that is deeply rooted in tradition. Many of the world’s most beloved grape varieties originated here, as did the concept of “terroir”—soil type, elevation, slope and mesoclimate combine to produce resulting wines that convey a sense of place.

Accordingly, most French wine is labeled by geographical location, rather than grape variety. So a general understanding of which grapes correspond to which regions can be helpful in navigating all of the types of French wine. Some of the greatest wine regions in the world are here, including Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône and Champagne, but each part of the country has its own specialties and strengths.

About Grenache Blanc

A key ingredient in the white wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grenache Blanc can be unctuous and soft or floral and fresh. Some of the finest examples are terroir-driven, age-worthy wines. Grenache Blanc is also a significant variety in the vins doux naturels of Rivesaltes. Many of the delicious, value-driven table whites France are Grenache Blanc blends.

Whites from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation of the Rhône are often rich, oak-aged blends of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne.
