ABOUT THIS WHISKY

If sherried single malt is very much your thing, then GlenDronach is a name you should get to know very well. The distillery resides in the Highlands, busily working away on some incredible expressions, with sherried malt sitting at the core of many of them. This particular dram, The GlenDronach 12 Year Old, is allowed to age in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks from Spain, resulting in generous helpings of dried fruit and Christmas spice running through it.

About The GlenDronach

Sherry Cask Connoiseurs since 1826. Nestled in the valley of Forgue, deep in the East Highland hills, is The GlenDronach, one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, creating the finest richly sherried single malts for nearly 200 years. The GlenDronach is of true Highland style: a heavy and robust spirit, perfect for a long maturation period in sherry casks.

About Whisky

What Whisky will not cure, there is no cure for.

Coming in a multitude of styles depending on its origin, Whisk(e)y’s flavors range across the board from the sweet, caramel and vanilla-dominated American Bourbons to the briny, peat-heavy Islay Single Malts from Scotland. Though production methods differ widely, all Whiskys are made by distilling beer made from some type of grain, such as barley, corn, wheat or rye. After the distillation process is complete, the new, clear spirit is transferred to wooden casks where it matures, a process that can take up to thirty years or more.
