About this Product

This Spanish wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste and was put on the bottle with only 1.8 grams of residual sugar. As one can of course expect with a wine, this Spaniard naturally enchants with the finest balance in all dryness. Taste doesn't necessarily need sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterised by an incredibly velvety texture. With its vital fruit acid, De Chiripa presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region Castile - León finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blueberry and blackberry.

About Spain

Known for bold reds, crisp whites, easy-drinking rosés, distinctive sparkling, and fortified wines, Spain has embraced international varieties and wine styles while continuing to place primary emphasis on its own native grapes. Though the country’s climate is diverse, it is generally hot and dry. In the centre of the country lies a vast, arid plateau known as the Meseta Central, characterised by extremely hot summers and frequent drought.

About Tempranillo

Tempranillo is Spain’s premier and most planted grape variety, accounting for around 20% of all Spanish plantings. Tempranillo translates to “a bit early” in Spanish and its name refers to the grape’s growing cycle, since it both buds and ripens early. Tempranillo is the base of many of Spain’s iconic wines and it is highly regarded by winemakers because of its tremendous versatility and adaptability. Tempranillo wine is the star of Spain’s Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions and important throughout most of Spain.
